For the special exhibition “50 Years Wembley – the myth in snapshots,” TRIAD Berlin designed an extraordinary media installation for the German Football Museum. It shows striking scenes from the 1966 DFB-produced film The Way to Wembley, which was rediscovered during the project.

Cut together as a completely new composition of image and sound, the historic film material, edited by TRIAD in cinema quality, offers spectacular scenes from the game as well as private moments of the German national football team. Enhanced by the original audio tracks, the arrangement of the large screens and unpublished photographs ensures an intense installation experience. Depending on the standing position of the viewer, the image multiplies and allows the black-and-white and color footage to both compliment and contrast each other.

With footage that has not been seen in decades, TRIAD Berlin has managed to create a spectacular, knowledgeable, and ingenious exhibition experience that appeals not only to football fans but also to admirers of art, culture, and film lovers.
