Building a home for German football! TRIAD Berlin developed the spatial design and dramaturgical concept of the German Football Museum, in Dortmund, which presents the phenomenon of football in Germany in a knowledgeable, detailed, playful, and emotional way on 7,700 square meters of floor space – a “place of pilgrimage” for all football fans.
The structure of the exhibition follows the narrative of a football match. There are five areas in which visitors can experience the world of football in all its variety by means of both technologically innovative and classic presentation formats: “Before the Game” (Emotional Warm-up), “1st Half” (The World of National Teams and German Football), “Half-Time” (Trainers and Tactics), “2nd Half” (The World of Football Clubs), and “After the Game” (Play Area).
The history of German football becomes an experience. The treasury displaying the real trophies won by Germany’s national team and football clubs as well as the “Hall of Fame” for the best German players present further emotional highlights of the exhibition.
The German Football Museum is a vibrant meeting place that provides space for sportive exchange for all members of the football family – including fans, clubs, associations, friends, supporters, partners, and sponsors.
