Siemens has turned its focus to the precise implementation of Industry 4.0 themes under the motto of “implement now”. How can the link between real and digital production worlds be put into practice? New digitalization strategies are the main focus of the 3,500 square meter stand, which is one of the largest at the international trade fair.
In eight featured areas, digital enterprise showcases demonstratively present applications of use for successful implementation. The MindSphere by Siemens is one of them, as a cloud-based open IoT platform. Additionally, there is also the Open Space area where a collaborative exchange of ideas in an industry context around the theme of digitalization can take place.
The Aero Space area is one of the most enthralling. Here, autonomous transport vehicles fitted with robots go about their business around a virtual aircraft fuselage – developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM. Many different media formats and interactive presentations by TRIAD Berlin support the industry showcase.
